CLU topic: Sabotage of foreign economies John Perkins, an author and former U. S. government agent, will discuss his work and his latest book, "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man," at noon Mon., April 18 in the Nelson Room at California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. Perkins will be at CLU in conjunction with his World Affairs Council of Ventura County speaking engagement later that evening. As an "official economic hit man" for the U. S. government, Perkins worked to create chaos in the economies of foreign governments with a goal of ultimately enabling the U. S. to come in as a hero to "save the day." The lecture is for CLU students, but the public can attend. For more information, please contact Herbert Gooch at (805) 493-3348 or via e-mail at gooch@clunet.edu. |
