Balloon Designs celebrates 10 years

Balloon Designs by Jeanne will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a party from 1 to 5 p.m. Sun., April 17 at the store, 2844 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

Jeanne Cockcroft and her staff will release 500 or more biodegradable latex balloons at 3 p.m. Entertainment at the event will be provided by Alisha Youngman, Cockcroft’s daughter, who delivers the store’s "singing balloongrams."

Cockcroft and her husband, Dave, who originally opened their Conejo Valley store in 1995 and moved to their present location in 1997, have won several awards for their balloon sculptures and window displays.
