Auto Club members can pay traffic tickets online

The Automobile Club of Southern California has announced that its members may now use the Auto Club’s website as a direct link to paying traffic tickets online.

The new service on website www.aaa.com links members to superior courts in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties, where they can pay their traffic tickets online instead of mailing in citations or traveling to courthouses.

"Members already use the website for a variety of automotive services including car buying, car loans, insurance and automotive maintenance tips," said Auto Club spokesperson Carol Thorp. "Now they will have the convenience of linking directly to court sites to take care of traffic citations and other court-related matters."

Thorp emphasized that the service is simply a convenient link; the Auto Club is not responsible for the court websites and their content and cannot assist members in either paying their tickets or dealing with the courts.

"This link through the Auto Club will add another convenient option for the public to access court information in addition to the ability to pay their traffic citations online," said Ventura County Superior Court Presiding Judge John R. Smiley

The Auto Club is the largest organization to link to the superior courts’ online traffic ticket programs to date. The courts want to encourage more people to use their online services. Members will be able to access the service through the website’s automotive section in the traffic safety area.
