Contemporary evening service starts in Westlake Village

Westlake Lutheran Church will begin contemporary worship services from 6 to 7 p.m. Sat., April 9 at 2630A Townsgate Road, Westlake Village. The new "Saturday Night Alive!" service will feature a contemporary style, praise music, interactive services, youth participation and Holy Communion.

According to the church, the goal of this new service is to provide a comfortable and inviting environment for everyone in the community.

"The addition of a contemporary service allows us to reach out to our community and congregation with alternate choices for worship service formats and times," said Pastor Craig Beeker.

Westlake Lutheran Church will continue to present weekly Sunday services at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. and Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 a.m.

The church offers junior and senior high Sunday School, confirmation, Sunday night youth night and Friday night movie nights. Adult and family programs include Alpha and Stephen Ministry.
