Kimmy’s Angels visit Children’s Hospital

ELF MAGIC-Kimmy's Angels prepare to deliver a cart full of toys at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. The group takes it name from Westlake High School student Kimberly Thorne, who died last year from Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Kimberly Thorne, 17, may have lost her battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma one year ago, but memories of the Westlake High School student live on via good deeds from her family and friends.

For the second consecutive year, group members calling themselves "Kimmy’s Angels," dressed up as elves and visited the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. Their mission: deliver toys to children on the oncology and bone marrow transplant floor.

This year, the group, which made its trek Dec. 23, received toys donated from the Las Virgenes Optimist Club and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
