Manners workshop hones social skills

The "Manners Do Matter!" workshop is an etiquette class designed to help boys and girls ages 7 to 12 to begin developing social skills and self-confidence.

Participants will be introduced to social etiquette and learn how to behave when they are on their own, whether it’s away at camp or at someone else’s home.

Subjects to be addressed during the six-week course include: table manners, family manners, party manners, thank-you notes, being a good guest or host, and communications manners.

Roxanne Diesel conducts the classes offered from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14 through Feb. 18 in Thousand Oaks, and from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 20 through Feb. 24 in Moorpark.
