A 64-year-old Thousand Oaks woman was beaten and robbed by a man who entered her home on Monday under the pretence that he was inquiring about a car for sale in the neighborhood.
Once inside the victim’s home in the Oaknolls Villas retirement community, the man beat the woman with a pistol and forced her to go into a bedroom closet.
He then stole an undisclosed amount of money and left, police said.
The assailant, pictured below, is described as a male Hispanic about 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.
He has a moustache and he was wearing a black or gray baseball hat and a dark jacket, said police.
The victim was treated at Los Robles Medical Center for wounds to her face and head.
A $1,000 reward could be awarded to individuals with information leading to an arrest.
