Water polo qualifiers listed
The Channel Coast Zone hosted the Ventura County District Girls Water Polo tryouts at Ventura College last Sunday and the area high school girls that qualified are:

1-Brandi Creek, Jr., Royal-goalie

2- Kat Plummer, So., Thousand Oaks -2 meter

3- Meghan Corso, So., Agoura-2 meter

4- Amanda Brucia, Jr., Calabasas -2 meter

5- Emily Kitchens, Jr., Camarillo-2 meter

6- Carly Clark, Fr., Agoura -2 meter

7- Jenna Conway, So., Thousand Oaks-2 meter

8- Kelly Palmberg, So., Royal-driver

9-Bridgett Mckee, So. Newbury Park-driver

10-Angela Rampton, So., Royal-driver

Sara Goalitzer, an Agoura freshman goalie, was selected as an alternate.

The tryout was available to all girls born in 1987 or later. Thirty-size girls participated in the free tryouts. Devin Hurst of Royal High School and Mike Giles of Thousand Oaks High School and Ventura Coast Water Polo Club were co-head coaches of the event.

The event is the grassroots effort of USA Water Polo to find the best girls aged 17-and-under throughout the nation. The difficult five-hour test included swim speed and game skill.
