British farce should be a hoot

Conejo Players Theatre’s next production, "Cash on Delivery," is described as "pure British farce." It will be presented at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, April 3-4, 10, 17-18 and 24, with a 7 p.m. performance on Sun., April 18 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. Tickets range from $12 to $16; the opening night event with champagne brunch is $18.

The comedy by Michael Clooney involves Eric Swan, who, having lost his job, is cheating the Department of Social Security out of welfare money by making up tenants and illnesses they have. When he gets in over his head and tries to climb out, everything comes tumbling down.
