Conejo Players’
‘I Remember Mama’ is nostalgic look at family life

A memorable mother does an admirable job in raising her children in their modest San Francisco home during the early years of the 20th Century in "I Remember Mama," a nostalgic look at family life to be presented by the Conejo Players Theatre from March 26 to April 24 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Adapted from Kathryn Forbes’s book "Mama’s Bank Account" by John Van Druten, the play focuses on Mama, a "sweet and capable manager" who guides her children through childhood, with her sisters and uncle and the children’s antics keeping the plot going at a lively pace.

Show times are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sun., April 11. Opening night tickets are $18 and include a champagne buffet; after that, tickets range from $12 to $16 and are available by calling (805) 495-3715.
