Residents earn college kudos
Thousand Oaks

Jeleen Lu of Thousand Oaks earned Dean’s High Honors during the fall 2003 semester at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she is a nursing major expected to graduate this May. To quality for these honors, Lu posted a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Michael X. Yang of Thousand Oaks was awarded his Ph.D. degree in philosophy from the graduate school of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., during last summer’s semester.

Westlake Village

Chandra Jacobs, the daughter of John and Jody Jacobs of Westlake Village and a 2000 graduate of Westlake High School, made the Dean’s List with Distinction for the spring and fall 2003 semesters at Duke University in Durham, N.C. Chandra is a senior at Duke, with a double major in physics and economics and a minor in German. She will graduate this year.

Newbury Park

The following students were named to the 2003 fall semester Dean’s Honor List at CLU: Gregorio DeMasi, Amanda Baker, Wendy McLevige and Alexandra Mallen.

CLU students qualify for the Dean’s List by maintaining a 3.5 GPA in their academic subjects.
