Gardeners can live with arthritis,
thrive outdoors

Individuals living with arthritis who love to garden are invited to attend a free reception to meet other gardening enthusiasts living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and learn from a master gardener how to design their own arthritis-friendly garden.

Also, a rheumatologist will discuss RA and the latest treatment advances, and an occupational therapist will talk about the physical and psychological benefits of gardening and provide information on arthritis-friendly gardening tools.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mon., Sept. 29 at St. Regis-One Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tues., Sept. 30 at California Citrus State Historic Park, 9400 Duffrin Ave., Riverside.
