Volunteers are needed for Interface

Interface Children Family Services will host an orientation at 6:30 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 25 at 1305 Del Norte Road, Camarillo to introduce prospective volunteers to the challenging opportunities available at Interface.

Volunteers are needed to assist in providing: Information and Referral; Outreach Crisis Counseling Intervention to runaway and troubled youth and their families and battered women and their children; youth mentoring; mediation services and training for families and schools. Volunteers are also needed to work with abused children, as office assistants and in many other valuable roles.

Additionally, Interface Children Family Services offers a low-cost 10-week series of Active Parenting classes emphasizing effective discipline techniques, understanding children’s behavior and strategies to encourage responsibility, and problem-solving skills.
