Lake Sherwood resident honored

Professional speaker and best-selling author Jim Cathcart of Lake Sherwood was recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the National Speakers Association. He wrote "The Acorn Principle" and "Relationship Selling" and has authored a total of 13 books.

Cathcart, who was inducted into the Speaker Hall of Fame in 1985, has delivered more than 2,500 professional speeches to audiences worldwide. In 2001 Toastmasters International awarded him the Golden Gavel.
