Time for summer day camp on the farm at Pierce College

Los Angeles Pierce College Extension is offering a new all-day summer camp experience for youth ages 5-14. The camp is offered every two weeks and provides "fun and excitement all day long." Campers will learn about the environment and enjoy special activities on the Pierce College Farm. In addition, campers will sing songs, perform skits, play games, cool off in the pool and make crafts.

"Summer Day Camp on the Farm" is offered from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., June 23-July 3, Monday-Friday on the campus at 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills. Registration fee is $300.

A science day camp is also offered for the same age group from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. or 9 a.m.-noon, June 23-Aug. 15, as eight one-week sessions of science exploration featuring hands-on investigations in small groups by professional science instructors. Weekly topics will include "Robo World Tech Lab" and "Zero-G Rocketry." Registration fee for this camp is $229.
