Doesn’t like that the elected official isn’t doing the talking

Assemblyman Tony Strickland’s behavior in the attempt to establish a political dynasty in Ventura County has finally gone too far.

As our elected representative, we expect Mr. Strickland to actually do his job of representing us not only in Sacramento, but also in the district in which he was elected. So why did he have his wife speak for him, even though he was in attendance, at the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce Installation dinner on Friday night? Could it be because he is trying to get some free publicity for his wife who happens to be running for his seat?

We, the taxpayers, pay to have Mr. Strickland represent us, not to use his state-funded office to help his wife in her election bid. What else is Mr. Strickland doing to get his wife elected? Could he be using other resources paid with our taxes to keep the job in the family?

Shame on the Stricklands, and shame on the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce for allowing such an underhanded political move.
