Doesn’t like what’s going on

The campaign tactics of Assemblyman Tony Strickland and his wife raise some serious ethical questions.

Recently, Mr. Strickland has fallen into the habit of having his wife, who he is having run to replace him since he is being forced out by term limits, represent him at official functions in our community. Most recently it was at the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce event that we got to see Assemblyman Strickland’s wife speak, not our elected representative who was sitting in the audience.

Didn’t we elect him to represent us, and not his wife? Doesn’t she have to stand for election on her own before she is allowed to speak at official functions? Just what did we elect her husband for? To use taxpayers dollars so he can have his wife run for his seat?

Crazy.

And does the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce intend to give other candidates from the other parties equal time in speaking to their members? I would hate to see other reputable organizations get dragged into the political cesspool created by one of our elected officials.
