The Wellness Community needs volunteers

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura is in need of volunteers for a variety of positions. Adults are needed to help with clerical duties, answer phones, help with mailings, and help at special events. Docents are also needed for the annual Holiday Homes Tour scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 6-7. For more information, call (805) 379-4777.

Services provided by The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura include: separate weekly support groups for cancer patients and for family members; cancer specific networking groups; workshops put on by psychologists, nutritionists, doctors and other health-care professionals; stress management workshops; orientation meetings run by cancer survivors and a "buddy" program for new cancer patients. All programs at The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura are free of charge.
