TOHS students to perform in staging of ballet

Thousand Oaks High School sophomore Brianna Meyer will be among three dancers giving a solo performance when Oakley Ballet Center of Camarillo stages a full-length romantic ballet at 7:30 p.m. Sat., June 14 and at 2:30 p.m. Sun., June 15 at the Newbury Park High School Performing Arts Center. She has trained at Oakley since age 11 and has attended the Pacific Northwest Ballet School summer program for the past two years; this summer Meyer will study at the San Francisco Ballet School. She has also been a trainee with the Channel Islands Ballet.

The program will also include a modern work by Lisa K. Lock and "Kool Kats," a contemporary ballet by guest choreographer Yves de Bouteiller. Tickets are $6-$10 at the door. For more information, call Kirsten Oakley at (805) 384-0642.
