The program will allow youth to explore all aspects of the fire service. Attendees will also learn about career opportunities in the fire service and the preparation necessary to become a successful candidate for a position in one of the many disciplines within the fire service.

Specific topics to be covered include: fire department organization, fire equipment of all types, fire station routine and tour, structure fire and brush fire suppression strategy and tactics, air operations, emergency medical operations, dispatch services and fire prevention activities.

The week will conclude with a career day and graduation featuring a barbecue lunch. Since attendance is very limited, early registration is strongly suggested by calling (805) 389-9769.
