Lecture will explore power of prayer

Rev. Michael Pereira, chaplain at Thomas Aquinas College, will speak on "The Power of Prayer: Entering into the Interior Castle" from 7-9 p.m. Thurs., June 5 in St. Julie’s Parish Center, 2475 Borchard Road, Newbury Park. He will delve into the prayer life and forms of St. Teresa of Avila, Doctor of the Church, and lead participants "on a journey of deep, contemplative spirituality and greater union with [the] Lord," according to the church, which is presenting his lecture as part of the Saint Julie Billiart Adult Education Series.
