Building strong marriage
is upcoming lecture topic

The Conejo Jewish Academy will host a lecture by Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis, a Holocaust survivor, author, teacher and speaker, at 8 p.m. Sun., May 18 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza Hotel, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

For more than three decades she has presented classes and seminars teaching the relevance of traditions and Biblical values in modern life. She is credited with creating a "Jewish Awakening" to combat what she perceived to be the apathy and indifference of modern Jews, whom she feared were disappearing into assimilation, alienation and intermarriage.

The Rebbetzin will discuss "The Committed Marriage—Building a Relationship through Timeless Biblical Wisdom," based on her new book, which draws on her own marriage of 40 years as well as her strong faith in the power of prayer and tradition. "She offers practical, optimistic advice and demonstrates how faith can provide a loving foundation for marriage," according to the Academy.

Her book will be available for purchase and book signing at the Hyatt lecture. Admission is $15 at the door. For reservations and more information, call (818) 991-0991 or visit www.jewishacademy.com.
