Local farmers’ market to host a summer festival

The Thousand Oaks Certified Farmers’ Market will present a Summer Festival from 3-7 p.m. Thursdays from May 29-Aug. 28 directly adjacent to the certified farmers’ market area in the east end parking lot of The Oaks Shopping Center at Wilbur Road and Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. The festival will run concurrent with the weekly farmers’ market.

The festival will feature live entertainment, an expanded prepared food and barbecue section as well as hand-crafted arts and crafts booths. A food court area will provide seating for those who wish to partake of the entertainment while dining.

Featured performers on Thurs., May 29 will be the Lane 29 Orchestra, a jazz big band comprised of local musicians.
