Tap dance great to conduct master class

Award-winning tap dancer Mark Mendonca, who has performed on Broadway, in film, television and on concert stages around the world, will lead a series of Master Tap Workshops on Sun., May 4 at Agoura Hills Dance and Performing Arts Center, 5015 Cornell Road, Agoura Hills. The beginner’s class is from noon-1:15 p.m., intermediate from 1:30-3 p.m., and intermediate/advanced from 3-4:30 p.m. Classes are $12 if participants register by today, Thurs., May 1, otherwise $15.

Mendonca and other community tap dancers will perform at the second National Tap Dance Day event from noon-5 p.m. Sat., May 17 at Gardens of the World Park in Thousand Oaks. This celebration of dance, hosted by Agoura Hills Dance, is free and open to the public.
