CJA presents ‘Bible Codes’ lecture

The Conejo Jewish Academy will host a lecture titled "The Bible Codes—A Rabbinical Expose" at 8 p.m. Mon., May 5 at their facility, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

"The recent publication of a series of controversial books on ‘The Bible Codes’ has…sparked intense debate on the authenticity of Bible Codes and whether they can be used to predict the future," said Rabbi Moshe Bryski.

Guest speaker Rabbi Yossi Hecht of Johannesburg, South Africa has done extensive research on the subject. While being an advocate of the Bible Codes as a tool of interpretation for the Torah student, Rabbi Hecht believes that this tool has been "abused, misused and misinterpreted" by these publications.
