Learn to
make candles

Los Angeles Pierce College Extension will present a "Candle Making—Beginning" workshop from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sat., May 3 on the campus at 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills. Participants will learn how to make several different types of candles to add a decorative touch to their own homes or to use as gift items. The workshop, led by Quayum M. Abdul, MA, an instructor at L.A. City College, includes instruction on how to use molds and how to add fragrance and natural color additives, as well as how to obtain sources for materials and supplies.
