MOMS Club to host
open house

Whether searching for friends or just a fun outing, Thousand Oaks-area moms and their kids are invited to the MOMS Club Lang Ranch/ T.O. East open house from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wed., May 7 at Conejo Creek Park behind the Thousand Oaks Library on Janss Road. The club is a nonprofit group for stay-at-home mothers that schedules play groups and play dates, along with weekly activities and a monthly MOMS Night Out.

Appearing will be the "Reptile Family," a company which brings in reptiles to show and touch. "Little Prints" will also be attending, and for a fee will take hand or foot impressions for keepsakes.

Refreshments will be served. For more information, please email momsclublangranch@yahoo.com, or call (805) 584-4606.

The club charity for the month is the March of Dimes. The club also does a yearly garage sale for charity.

Kerri Howlett, membership vice president, said that a number of moms expressed interest in a new program beginning in May, "Adopt a Grandparent," which the club hopes to continue on a monthly basis with Senior Concerns of Thousand Oaks.
