If you don’t vote, you lose Attention all undecided voters, newcomers to Thousand Oaks and couch potatoes. Do not be turned off by lack of enthusiasm for the political process because when you do, you lose. You lose to special interests that surely will be at the polls voting for their candidates and issues. You lose when you vote for a candidate just because you’ve heard his name. You especially lose when you vote those so-called candidate cards telling you who and what to vote for on every issue. Are you aware that people pay to put their name and issue on those things? I wasn’t. When you listen to people who tell you "I don’t like slates," but want you to vote for incumbents who have voted in lock step for every project that has increased density, gridlock and pollution, you lose even more. Remember why you moved to Thousand Oaks and vote for the Certified Slow Growth Team of Michael Farris, Laura Lee Custodio, Claudia De La Peña and Bob Wilson. A vote for them is a vote against being another San Fernando Valley.
