We like this incumbent

I am the past president of the Conejo Oaks Property Owners Association and have lived in Thousand Oaks for more than 30 years. My husband, Don, and I are the middle generation of the three generations of our family who live in Thousand Oaks. We all support Councilman Andy Fox for reelection. My experience with Fox has been unfailingly excellent; he is responsive and proactive and I have never heard him make the kind of political comment about a colleague or opponent that throws doubt on the whole process.

When Conejo Oaks needed a sound wall to mitigate the sound from the 23 Freeway, Fox got it done. Before he took up our case, we had been trying to get that sound wall for years. When we were concerned about a sports complex proposal in the Conejo Creek Park South, Fox did not try to scare us, but told us right off that no councilmember supported the sports park. Candidates told us that it was coming in unless we voted for them. Fox gave it to us straight and put our minds at rest. And he was right.

Fox has been our city councilman for eight years, and when he tells us something, it always turns out to be true. That shouldn’t be rare, but it is. He works with everyone, and his positive outlook on solutions has resulted in a better quality of life for all of us.

I hope that everyone will remember to vote on Nov. 5 and to vote for Andy Fox.
