Dash to help high school The Disco Dash on Sun., Nov. 10 at The Canyon Club, 28912 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills, consisting of a morning 5K run, 1-mile fun run, fitness expo, costume contest and concert at 8 p.m. featuring the Boogie Knights retro disco band, is a benefit for Oak Park High School’s track improvement fund. "Disco Dash" is the brainchild of Danny Greenberg, an Oak Park Unified School District parent and president of the event’s producers, Endurance Events, and publisher of Los Angeles Sports & Fitness Magazine. Registration begins at 6 a.m. The 5K run is at 7:30 a.m. followed by the 1-mile fun run at 8:15 a.m. The beat of disco music will be heard throughout the event’s activities. Judges will select winners from the crowd who are wearing the best disco-era outfit and they will receive prizes donated by community businesses. The fitness expo will feature representatives from area gyms and fitness clubs and sports medicine professionals. Cost for the 5K run, event T-shirt and concert is $25. There is a $4 late fee after today, Thurs., Oct. 31. Cost of additional concert tickets is $20-$22. In-person registration is available from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 7-Sat., Nov. 9 at Future Track Running Center, Agoura Hills.
