Enjoy new spin on dancing More than 32 champion ballroom dancers from around the world—Australia, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Great Britain and Japan—will waltz, cha cha, samba, rumba. Lindy, jive and swing in "Burn the Floor" running from Nov. 19-24 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Producer Harley Medcalf describes the show as "a fusion of the wonderful traditions of ballroom dancing with the technology, creativity, and energy of rock ‘n roll." According to Theater League, which is presenting "Burn the Floor" as part of their 2002-2003 Season of Broadway Musicals at the Civic Arts Plaza, "the sultry quality of each dance is superbly enhanced by stunning, eye-popping costumes, passionate music, and dazzling visual and sound effects."
