Gardeners show green thumbs

The Conejo Valley Junior Garden Club Flower Show will be presented Sat.-Sun., Nov. 9-10 at the Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. In anticipation of their annual flower show, the junior gardeners are learning about floral and horticulture displays and also ideas for designing tray and place-setting displays.

In addition to the junior gardeners’ entries in 10 separate divisions, the adults in the club will be entering table and place setting displays in several additional divisions. They will also be selling young plants they have been nurturing, most of them derived from cuttings of favorite plants that grow well in this area. The plant sale will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday.
