Learn to trace genealogy

The Conejo Valley Genealogy Society together with the Thousand Oaks Family History Center will host an Open House from 6-8:30 p.m. Tues., Nov. 12 at the Family History Center, 3645 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. They will be celebrating "Family Week," sponsored by the city of Thousand Oaks.

Attendees may select from among several "how-to" sessions being presented, including how to: start your family research; choose and use your genealogy software; use the Family History Center; do your family research on the Internet; use your digital camera with your personal computer; and write your personal history.

The Genealogy Society Computer Interest Group will meet at 6 p.m. to attend the "How to Choose and Use Your Genealogy Software" session.

The open house is free and open to anyone interested in genealogy. Refreshments will be served beginning 7 p.m. For more information, please call Jim at (805) 579-7146.
